#1garment3ways: Simplicity 8529

I'm starting a new blog series on styling handmade garments. I will take the piece I've just finished and style it three ways, for work, for weekend, and for date night. I've found that often when I finish something I have some vague ideas in mind on how to wear it but I haven't put a lot of thought into how to make the garment as versatile as it can be. I'm hoping that this series will help myself and others with ideas on how to actually wear the clothes we make in our everyday lives.

One thing to note: I am creating looks that I would actually wear. I know that not everybody can wear jeans to work for example, but I am trying to stay true to myself in that these are all outfits I would put on for that occasion. First up, Simplicity 8529, the toaster sweater. If you are looking for more garment construction details on this sweatshirt, see my last post.
