While I was knitting...

  • I was feeling a bit down over the state of the country over the weekend, so I rewatched the BBC Pride and Prejudice miniseries with Colin Firth. If that doesn't cheer you up, I don't know what will.
  • Now I'm on a Jane Austen kick. I re-watched the first episode of Sense and Sensibility (BBC) on Hulu. I watched this miniseries ages ago had no idea that Dan Stevens was Edward, or that the Governor from The Walking Dead was Colonel Brandon. so funny. I also just realized that Hulu has the Emma Thompson movie as well. i'll have to watch that one too.

  • After finishing P&P, I was still in a Jane Austen mood so I purchased Persuasion from audible. The narrator is very good. I've read the book before a few times, but this was one of the Austen books that I'm less familiar with, as I've read most of the others many many times. I enjoyed it. I also picked up The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Klay and One Hundred Years of Solitude in a 2-for-1 sale. I've read both before but I'm looking forward to listening to them again.
