unicorns and bunnies and birds, oh my

sock project bags

Another batch of sock project bags are in the shop. I used some newer acquisitions (including the adorable unicorns and rainbows) and some older favorites.

A note on my bags: I strongly dislike making identical copies over and over again (because I'm not a factory), so I work with the mindset that every bag should be unique. It's possible that I will eventually re-use a fabric but I would probably mix up the lining and accent fabrics so that no two bags are exactly alike. So if you see something you want, you should grab it because there probably won't ever be another one.

Next week I'll have more zippered clutches available. I've been thinking about what I want to do for a larger sweater-sized bag but I'm having a hard time deciding on the style. What type of bag do you use to hold larger projects like sweaters and blankets? Upsized drawstring or zippered wedges? Totes? Do you prefer more of a basket style? Do you like lots of pockets? Patchwork or one solid fabric on the exterior? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

  1. Those are all so cute! I have to try making these someday~

  2. I've never made a sweater so I'm not sure what kind of bag would be best. My initial reaction is boxy tote or maybe a large boxed bag with a zipper that goes up and over with some handles...kind of like a small duffel? Whatever you make, I'm sure it will be awesome and I'll need to buy one.
