Spinning Catch-up

My spinning has picked up again this month and I'm a little behind on updates.

Duos: Go Green Duos: Red Holidays

I've added a fun new item to the yarn shop: Duos Mini-skein sets. Each skein is 100 yards and is perfect for blankets and other small projects. These are all 2 plies of various wools and wool blends dyed by Nest Fiber Studios. I even knit up a couple of the leftovers into my own sock yarn blanket. After I finish my current spinning project I will definitely do more of these sets. It was so much fun to spin small bits of fiber for a change.

Sticking with the Nest theme, this is Nausicaa in superwash merino. 220yds/120g of chunky weight singles that were fulled to finish. This skein is not in the shop because I'm not really happy with it. I think it needs to marinate in the stash for awhile until I figure out what to do with it.

Sushi Bar handspun

I have no such qualms about this yarn. it's my favorite so far this month. Sushi Bar 2ply, 155yds/112g aran weight superwash merino dyed by Blue Moon Fiber Arts. I got this fiber at Rhinebeck and I have another 4 oz left. I really love how the colors blended in this skein.

Check out the new goodies in my shop.
