One of my goals is to spin every day in January. So far, I've already finished 4 handspuns this month with another 2 on the wheel.

My first finished skein is a little souvenir from my trip over the holidays. We visited Spicy's family in Massachusetts and I drove about an hour and a half away to WEBS on the day after Xmas. It was pretty busy and I felt a little overwhelmed, but I came away with some good stuff. This was 3oz of merino/sparkle Stripey Batts from Frabjous Fibers.

I wanted to maintain the gradient so I spun the batts as a singles yarn. I used short-forward draw and got about a sport weight. I felted the yarn to finish and the result is a very soft drapey yarn that would be perfect for a small shawl or scarf. There's about 320yds/84g.
This yarn is in the shop.
This is lovely!
