an early edition of linky loos

pebble quilting is hard, yo. and it takes FOREVER. no pics yet. i'm still working on the back. i've already gone through 2 bobbins of thread and i'm just shy of finishing the back. i think it's safe to say that i won't ever use this technique for a large quilt. i might even try to mix things up and do something different but related for the pillow front.

i'm doing links today b/c i'm off tomorrow preparing for wedding stuff.

have you seen cookie a's new book? i can't tell for sure but it mostly looks like a rehash of older patterns with a few new ones sprinkled in. i will probably skip this one because i haven't even made it halfway through sock innovation yet, but it looks like a good book to browse. i haven't knit any socks in a very long time. some of mine are starting to wear out (i recently blew out the toe in my wollmeise socks *sniff*) and i'm sure spicy is bound to wear more holes in his socks at any moment so i should really get back to it.

have you seen the Tiny Things Collection from mochimochi land? so cute!

the colors used in this quilting book are right up my alley. you can see some previews here.

these handspun socks are made of happy.

have a good weekend!

  1. I've seen the cover of cookie a's new book, but haven't been able to find a place that lets you look inside. I guess I need to look harder. Even though I always have some socks going, I'm not ready for this one, either -- so much in my queue, so little time!

mochimochi always makes me smile. Tiny Things are so cute, thans for the link -- so adorable.

I don't even know what pebble quilting is. Now I'm curious.

  2. Never mind, found it on cookie a's website. I guess my brain didn't have enough caffeine to actually turn on quite yet.
