Going Green

Envy handspun
I am burning through the fiber stash. This is "Envy," 2ply handspun bfl from High Bid Farms, acquired at the 2007 Finger Lakes Fiber Festival (the 2008 festival is this coming saturday). i spun it worsted from pre-drafted roving. it's 376 yds / 97 g of fingering weight.

i'm using it to knit a lace scarf. if all goes well, i'll write up the pattern.

i started spinning the remainder of the silk caps i have in the stash. i can't decide if i should spin and ply it together, or ply with another fiber, like white llama.

it's great that my fiber stash is getting smaller, but the side effect is that my yarn stash keeps growing.

i went to ollie's discount store and found a copy of knitting beyond the edge for $10. yay bargains.

i'm boring today.

  1. That's such a pretty green! Makes me think of spring even though it's mid-September.
