i heart lily allen

i purchased alright, still from itunes yesterday and have been listening to it nonstop ever since. such happy addictive pop.

anyway, you're probably here for the knitting.
Pink bag prefelting
i started out making a variation of the sophie bag from magknits, but i lost my instructions halfway through knitting the base, and i ended up doing a different number of rows, so i guess i can say that i was just winging it all the way on this one.
Pink bag postfelting
i used knitpicks wool of the andes in tulip, 2 strands held together on #13 denise circs, and ran it through 2 wash cycles.

i ordered some magnetic snaps from ebay. now i just need to do the lining and attach the handles. and find a button.

i've ever so slowly been working on the capecho and the anthropologie capelet. i'm kind of losing my knitting mojo. i want to make a larger felted bag, but i'm trying to concentrate on finishing at least one more thing before i start something new.

  1. Tootally cute! I love felting. So satisfying.

  2. The difference between the two is crazy, isn't it? I love that colour though. Ah, man! You've made me want to get all purple and felty.

  3. What a cute little bag! And Wool of the Andes felts amazingly, I had no idea. This may be one of those you need more than just one patterns.

  4. What a cute bag, I think I like it better than the original its based on. Sometimes you need to take a break from the knitting to come back refreshed. Then again, maybe you just need to find the right project and yarn to get the mojo back.

  5. The bag is very cute. You always impress me with your knitting!

  6. Now that is adorable! And a perfect color. I am always amazed at the magic of felting.
