I've been behind on the posting thing. Firstly, I completed a Sophie bag. Or half of one, anyway. I ran it through two loads of laundry, but i'm not happy with the way it is felting. So I'll wait til next week and do it again. You'll just have to wait for a pic.

I finished my March socks. I'm getting to the point that I'm even boring myself.
LL shepherd sport Lakeview anklets
They are the old standard toe-up stockinette anklets using Lorna's laces shepherd sport in Lakeview on #2 dpns. I still have a substantial amount of the hank leftover. The yarn is very soft. I've said my peace before about how much I hate ll and the pooling, but i can live with this pooling. it's not completely heinous.

i started untangling my hank of twinkletoes, but i can only stand to do a little bit at a time, so i'm moving the mixed berry socks to the back burner for now. i started a pair of jaywalkers toe-up using ll shepherd sock in rainbow. this is my second pair of jaywalkers, and i am having a much easier time. i am especially happy about modifying to work them toe-up. the sock seems a bit loose, but it's on the acceptable side. the rainbow colorway is striping oddly (of course) but it's kind of funky cool. and honestly, i don't know that this colorway would look any different with an alternative stitch pattern.

i also have a good start on my hipknits silk ribbed corset. I am knitting mine in the round as a pullover. I plan to sew faux buttons to the front when i'm finished. the purple/blue yarn is working out very well. my only problem was that i started out trying to use bryspun circs, but the join really blows. i switched to aluminum circs and it's going much more smoothly. I've finished the bust decreases and tried it on a few times. it seems to be working well. the pure silk is very soft and pretty, but i'm afraid it will look worn before long. i should really learn to take progress photos.

on the crochet front, i made the fit-to-be-tied purse from snb crochet.

i used the yarn that my sp6 pal, bronwyn, sent me. i'm not sure of the fiber content...i think it might be a wool/alpaca blend??? i used my standard G hook. this pattern was nice and simple. i lined it with some scrap white eyelet fabric and used some orange satin ribbon I had leftover from making a top. It'll be cute for summer.

i have lots more secret pal stuff to share, but i think i'm going to save it for a separate post.
