For this round of Fantastic Quilt Voyage I had mybricole's quilt. She sent all these neutral fabrics and it was really outside my comfort zone. She had lots of inspiration pins to choose from but this one in particular grabbed me. I tried to translate it to fabric and then I used some leftovers to whip up a quick little log cabin. I'm having a lot of fun participating in this bee and I kind of wish I had been more creative/put more thought into my own quilt design.
I'm a little ashamed to admit that this is my first finished quilt of the year. I haven't really been quilting much at all but last Saturday I decided that I wanted to make a quilt start-to-finish so I did. This is a simple charm square baby quilt. I alternated lights and darks and pulled from my scrap stash. The back is a red/white polka dot flannel which makes the quilt so soft. It's very minimally straight-line quilted so the texture is squooshy. I think it would be perfect for a fall/winter baby. This quilt will be available in the next shop update in mid-June.
