ughhhhh. i've been putting off writing this post b/c i've fallen off the wagon in a huge way. but it's sort of a good thing, i think.
for starters, i showed an admirable amount of self-control on the NYC trip. i went to a few fabric stores but did not buy any liberty despite mentally going back and forth a million times b/c i decided in the end that i don't want to pay that much money for tana lawn when i don't even really like florals. instead i bought just a few prints at City Quilter. and i've already cut into one of them. so yay for that.
I also purchased some FMF green seeds from hawthorne threads because i decided to pair FMF with my Chicopee bundle for a quilt and when i pulled all of the Flea Market Fancy fabrics from my stash, i could not find the green seeds anywhere. i also combed through my scraps and nada. so somehow i managed to use every last scrap of the 1/2yd i had in the stash (which is pretty unusual for me) so i thought it was worth buying an additional yard before it disappears. aaand while i was at it, i also picked up a 1/2yd of every color of the Nature Walk print because
my self-control was lacking that day look how pretty!
but the biggie is that I decided to finally take the plunge and start selling my naturally dyed yarn so i've spent quite a bit on supplies and equipment this month. i'm starting very slowly and am still finalizing all the little things but i hope to have some skeins in the shop by the end of the month. I went ahead and moved all of my handspun to the new shop so if you are wondering where it went, now you know.
I'm going to be ultra lazy and stop tracking what i finished and worked on this month b/c who knows anymore? i worked on stuff and some of it even got done. i will say that i finished the Mail Sack, which was on my original goals list. In other news, I am taking a bit of a blogging break but I will be back on May 12 for Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day. I will doing a review with a giveaway to boot. so be sure to stop by, especially if you are a spinner.
