Hanging in my backyard

I got a new-to-me lens for my camera, a used Canon 85mm f1.8. I took it for a test drive in the backyard. One of the things I don't like about my 50mm is that it's too slow to take decent pet shots unless they are sitting very still. The new lens is a great deal faster and I should be able to get some nice portraits of family/pets/modeled knitwear.

only one member of the family isn't represented. I pointed my camera at blackkitty and she basically took off like a shot. what are you gonna do.

Daisy is actually pretty terrible at catching treats. doesn't stop her from trying though.

Good ol' Wyatt, aging gracefully.

Ellie always looks so chill in photos. maybe now i'll be able to capture her true personality.

Daisy loves to play with Spicy. There's more shots on my flickr.
