This week I've been working little bits at a time on lots of different things. I'm trying to finish up some outstanding projects before I have to start holiday gifts.
My current spinning project is 2 braids from three waters farm. I am spinning one bobbin of each and will ply them together. I just finished the first braid which is mixed BFL/silk. The second braid is polwarth/silk. I haven't quite decided what I will do with the yarn yet, but I am definitely keeping this one in my own stash.
Progress continues on a new design.
I am back to knitting up Spicy's indigo stripey socks. He wants me to knit him a sweater and I try not to have too many projects on the needles at once. my goal is to finish this pair before I start his sweater.
Underneath the socks is my scrappy trips quilt. is it too much of a cliche by this point to proclaim that i'm hating it right now? I can only quilt a few rows at a time because more than that kills my hands. i'm doing a free-motion scallop pattern on wool batting and to be honest it looks pretty terrible. the quilt is rather large at 64x80 and i'm having a hard time maneuvering it.
I'm eager to be moving on to other things so I think that when I finish the quilting, I'm going to put it aside for awhile. i have a long list of Xmas presents to make, even though i said i wasn't making any gifts this year. *sigh*
