Giveaway Day

Circle Scarves

Today is SewMamaSew Giveaway Day! It's always a lot of fun participating and finding new blogs. If you are a new visitor, I love all kinds of textile crafts and I recently opened up my own shop where I sell quilts, bags, handspun yarn, and other goodies. I also design knit and crochet patterns. Last week, I stitched up a bunch of circle scarves in voile and velveteen. There are 2 different sizes and they make great holiday gifts.

Circle ScarfCircle Scarf

Would you like to win this scarf? It's 8" W x 52" long made from soft cotton voile and is just long enough to wrap twice around the neck. There are 3 chances to win and I will ship worldwide. Make sure I have a way to contact you should you win.

  1. Leave a comment on this post. What is your favorite handmade gift to make or to receive? You could also visit the shop and let me know what your favorite item is.
  2. Like my page on Facebook and leave a comment letting me know you did.
  3. Sign up for my newsletter and leave me a comment letting me know you did.

The contest will close on Friday evening, December 7 and I will choose a random winner Monday morning, December 10. Good luck and thanks for entering!

Is it bad to say my favorite handmade gift to receive is food? Because I love all the sweet and salty delicacies of Christmas! (But I only like receiving food gifts if I know you and your kitchen; food gifts from acquaintances kind of freak me out.) :)

This scarf is gorgeous! It makes me wish it weren't 80+ degrees in Texas right now!!!!!

My family has a tradition of drawing names and making a gift for the person whose name you have drawn. My idease usually revolve around sewing, but not always. Depends on the person I am crafting for.

Amy said...

I love to give me-made pajama pants. They are usually well-received and the sizing doesn't have to be too careful. Mostly I love to give them because I get requests ever since the first year I made them for people. For myself I love to receive anything handmade because I appreciate the time and energy it takes. My second choice is usually books or more supplies to make things.
