I've been taking advantage of the current spinning kick to try to spin down some of the stash. i bought 8oz of shetland roving at last year's Finger Lakes Fiber Festival.

there's 356yds/235g total of 3ply aran weight. i spun the roving longdraw and soaked and thwacked to finish.

this wool was minimally processed. it still had that sheepiness to it and there was a lot of VM. it'a another one of those nice wooly-wools with a rustic charm. i think the yarn would make great mittens or a sweater yoke. something with texture, like cables.

I vote for the sweater yoke, but I'm not the one knitting. ; This is gorgeous, though. I agree; it would be perfect for cables!
this yarn looks like a chocolate delight! i'd make cabled mittens.
Gorgeous spin! Nice work.
Really gorgeous!
you can never have enough mittens, especially when it gets colder outside!
