Linky-loo Friday

Today's installment of linky-loo Friday is all about kids clothes.

i haven't got it yet but i just requested Sewing for Boys from the library. from the previews online it looks like there are a lot of nice basics that would work for boys and girls. i wanted to browse through it before purchasing.

i bought the Banyan tunic/tee from Figgy's Patterns. i like that it comes in a big sizing range. i was debating between this one or the Flashback tee but i chose the Banyan because of the sizing and because it included the cute asymmetrical style.

i also got a couple of patterns from Heidi & Finn. i bought the Chic Cocktail Swing Coat and the Urban Unisex Hoodie. i have a yard of beautiful pendleton wool that i got as a gift from Melissa and some lovely burgundy velvet, so i will probably make the coat out of one of those. i especially like that the coat is lined. my niece has a birthday coming up plus Spicy's nephew will be visiting us in August so I have plenty of work cut out for me. hopefully i can accomplish some things over the weekend.

  1. Great patterns!
I wish I had a decent fabric store nearby, I think I would be more inclined to sew knit-clothing for my kids.  As it stands, I'm just not knowledgeable enough about non-quilting cotton fabrics to order them online sight unseen!
