Snail Shawl

Live Oak Shawlette
i'm too lazy to take modeled photos so i had to get creative or i'd never take any pictures of this shawl.
Live Oak Shawlette

Needles: Size 5 circs (can't remember which ones)
Yarn: Sanguine Gryphon Bugga in Acrobatic Snail

Live Oak Shawlette
so at some point i knit another shawl even though i am not a shawl wearer. it was very easy and quick and it's also very small. i had a lot of yarn leftover but i didn't feel like making it larger. i did not enjoy blocking all of those little leaves but the lace was easy to knit and very pretty. the half circle does stay on the shoulders nicely.

i made a pledge to use all of the bugga in my stash before i could buy more so i'm down to 3 skeins now. it's definitely one of my favorite yarns and the purply-blue is lovely, if different from what i normally pick. i might save this one as a gift. there's definitely nothing wrong with the pattern but i find it hard to get excited about some things especially when they were off the needles so long ago. this is one of those things.

  1. I kind of like the leaves, they look pretty on the edge, and the colorway is lovely too.

  2. It's so gorgeous! The colors are captivating. I've never used Bugga, but once I'm off my yarn diet, I'll have to investigate!
