rosewood

i've had these batts from squoosh in my stash for over a year. i love red and the batts were so pretty but i just never found the time to spin them up. When Vicki posted that she loves red and wanted a cowl-worthy worsted weight yarn, i knew this fiber would be perfect.

Vicki, I hope you don't mind the 2 skeins. my bobbins are in a sad state of usage right now and I needed the woolie winder to ply. There's no way that 4oz would fit on one bobbin so i had to split it into two.

my wheel is working hummingly again after the fix, so that's good news. these batts were wonderful to spin. I love that each fiber was a different color and the way that they blended into a subtle heathered yarn with just a little shine. but the loveliest thing about this yarn is how soft it is. it should be perfect for a cowl. It's on its way across the county, and i hope that you like it, Vicki!

  1. I like, I like! Of course, I love it. Now, all I have to do is design a cowl pattern for it.Maybe lace or cables or both. We'll have to let the yarn dictate.
