Pattern: Simplicity 2554, View F Size: 8 Fabric: Polyester from joann Started: January 28, Finished: January 29 Verdict: eh. i don't mind the ruffle-ly shoulders. what i don't love is the sad sack hanginess of the rest of the blouse. it has princess seams but it isn't fitted at all, and i went down a size from my usual. i also continue to have that feeling that my shirt is too short though i think it's actually fine.
i would like this fabric more in the warmer months, i think. it doesn't feel as plastic-y as a lot of stuff at joann's, but the static cling is a problem.
if i were to make this again (which i probably won't) i would lengthen it an inch or two and add more shape by taking in the waist.
this is a very easy shirt to put together. it doesn't require any notions and although there are a lot of pieces it sews up pretty quickly.
i've been sewing like a madwoman but i never seem to have time to take non-crappy pictures. so i'm resigning myself to the crappy pictures otherwise i'll never get through it all.
