a hat and a segue way to pretty yarn day

Ripley
today's installment of Knits That Time Forgot brings us to Ysolda Teague. at some point i bought Whimsical Little Knits 2. there are several patterns in the collection that i'd like to someday make but the only one i've managed so far is Ripley.
Ripley
Pattern: Ripley, garter band version
Yarn: Sunset Fibers Merino handspun in Clown Barf
Size: Modified S, non-slouchy
Needles: #11, circs of some kind
Started and Finished: July 17

all i can remember about this pattern is that like many others experienced, it seemed to run small for me. so i must've knit the pattern on larger needles. the yarn is very soft and warm and cozy but the colors are still kind of loud. i'm keeping it for now but it might end up in the giveaway bin. i'd like to knit this hat again with the lace band and a more subtle yarn.

in other news i got something new and exciting in the mail!
Knit Picks Stroll Tonal and Bare
stay tuned tomorrow for links and a weekend pattern sale.

  1. The hat is super cute, and the new KP mail looks pretty good from here!
