another white tee

This is my other Simplicity 4076 top out of the same off-white bamboo jersey. it looks better, despite sloppier sewing. i think that's because it's pretty hard to screw up a simple t-shirt. i will definitely be making this view again. i would cut a smaller size for the shoulders/bust next time and grade to a larger size at the bottom. otherwise there's not a lot to say about this one.

i finally made my own flower brooch. i saw similar ones on etsy awhile back and figured i could do it myself. mine is similar to this tutorial except that i used lining fabric and cut wonky circles instead of flower shapes. i swear that once upon a time i had a glue gun but of course it failed to show up just when i needed it so i ended up handsewing the flower to the pin back. i bought a 1/3 of a yard in case i had screw-ups so there's enough fabric left to make a couple more brooches. i'll probably try this slightly different approach next time. i think it would make a cute and fast gift.
