Can I knit a sweater in two days?

apparently, yes.
Lion Neck Cardigan
Pattern: Lion Neck Cardigan (rav) from Custom Knits
Size: 27" (i think. i made the second smallest size)
Yarn: 3ply chunky CVM handpun, spun from pin-drafted roving
Needles and Hook: #11 knitpicks harmonies and denise circs, J hook for ties
Started: June 20, Finished: June 21
Lion Neck Cardigan
i love this sweater. a few things came together: i wanted to sneak in on the handspun sweater-along in snobby spinners, i was looking for a quick easy project to work on, i wanted to use up some stash yarn that's been dormant for awhile, and i had a hole in my wardrobe that i wanted to fill.

i mostly followed the pattern as written. i shortened the sleeves and i slip stitched back through the crochet chain to make more cord-like ties. i also placed the ties at the narrowest part of my waist. i blocked the sweater body to be 20 inches long.

i wish i had ignored the sleeve shaping, as the sleeves are pretty snug. i think that's the only major change i would have made. i love cardigans that don't have buttons, as finishing details are my least favorite part.

i've been wanting a snuggly long sweater coat to wear when it gets chilly in the fall. this chunky cvm is delightfully squishy and cuddly to wear, and the ruffle makes me feel fabulous. it truly is a magical sweater. the 2-day thing was just icing on the cake.

  2. Okay so the 2 day finished sweater is awesome in and of itself, but the fact that you used handspun puts this sweater over the top in my book! NICE!
