my most favoritest sweater

i used to have this sweater that i bought at H&M ages ago. it was a simple v-neck pullover in wide black and white rugby stripes with 3/4 sleeves. i loved this sweater to death but i finally got rid of it because it's made from an itchy cheap acrylic and the care tag kept poking me in the side. i cut it off but it still poked away and i finally couldn't take it anymore. when i moved to the new house, the sweater went bye-bye.

and even though i recall very clearly how itchy and annoying it was, i still loved it. so i decided to take advantage of my eatsleepknit credit to acquire some yarn that is the very opposite of itchy and poky to recreate it: Malabrigo Sock in black and natural.

my intention is to continue to improve on the original by making it longer with a wider v-neck. right now i'm thinking top-down, simultaneous set-in sleeves, but i may change my mind on down the line. i've got a lot going on right now so it might be while before i get to this, but i'm so happy that i'll be getting my most favoritest sweater back, new and improved.

oh and it's official: i booked our hotel in Columbia, so Spicy and I are going to Maryland Sheep and Wool. yay!
