finished angee? check.

i was watching the US Open final last night which was not very compatible with knitting. i happily grafted the toe of sock #2 only to realize that i was supposed to end on a half repeat instead of a whole one. my second sock was about 1.5" too short. whoops. i ripped back and was able to finish 4 reals by the time gossip girl started.

Angee
the first photo is actually an accurate representation of the colors. this one isn't. i don't know why these socks were so difficult to photograph. the colors do pool, but not unattractively. it earns a pass from me. the 4ply yarn is very soft. i haven't washed the socks yet but they seem very loose-fitting and comfortable. i would buy the yarn again (if i could get it)

i omitted one repeat from the cuff b/c i thought i might not have enough yarn but i would've had plenty. oh well. i also decreased the toe every round at 40 stitches to round it off a little more.
Sunset Fibers Club 09/09
i joined the sunset fibers club because they have dyed pin-drafted roving at a very reasonable price. i joined for 3 months to try it out. this is 4oz of merino. the colors are not as saturated as i was expecting from the etsy photo but it's kitten soft and pin-drafted roving is my new favorite thing ever.

it'll go in my yarn/fiber closet until i finish spinning the BFL that i dyed. it might be awhile.
