FLFF: A Colorful Conclusion

finally, some color! today's festival purchases are from Cloverleaf Farms. i could have stayed in this booth all day--so many pretty colors and fiber choices. i tried to branch out and pick up more unfamiliar to me fibers.
4oz Wensleydale
this is 4oz of wensleydale. this was one of the first breeds i ever spun. unfortunately i had no idea what i was doing and i ended up with extremely dense thick singles that can stand up on their own. i still haven't done anything with it actually, and am seriously contemplating just throwing that yarn away. hopefully this one will go much better. i was thinking either sock or mitten yarn. and you can never go wrong with this shade of green.
4oz 80/20 merino silk
this is 4oz of 80% merino, 20% silk. i love their blended tops. they spin into such gorgeous heathered yarns. it feels nice and soft, so i'm thinking a pretty winter accessory like a scarf or hat.
2oz 50/50 merino silk
this is 2oz of 50% merino, 50% silk. definitely shawl yarn.

i feel like my festival was a great success. i think i got a little of everything and my stash, which had been getting pretty depleted is now comfortably full again. i want to spin up all my pretties but i have no time right now. i've finally started the second 8oz of BFL and i'm trying to spin at least 15 minutes a day, but so far i've mostly failed on that.

i promise to be back next week with actual knitting content. i've been insanely busy lately and unable to focus on any one particular project, but it's time to finish some things up.

  1. Such pretty fiber! Isn't it frustrating to want to spin, but can't because other things are happening?
