Mom's Kiri Shawl
i always feel like this is the "I'm Batman" pose. and yes, my pictures from the back are always off-center b/c i am incapable of standing directly in front of the camera.

i knit 12 repeats of the lace pattern. it took me an entire evening just to finish 11-12 and the edging. i used just under 2 skeins of handspun, so i have 2 left to make something else. i love how the shawl looks, but i doubt i'll knit this one again.

i'll be putting it in the mail today. i hope my mom gets it in time for her birthday, and that she likes it.
Mom's Kiri Shawl
see you in a couple of weeks! when i return i'll (hopefully) be living in my new house.

  1. Very pretty! If I'd powered through a shawl in four days (!!!), I probably wouldn't knit it again either. ;)

P.S. Have a great move! And I love the pants!

  4. Am I imagining things or does the model have a huge new backdrop?

    Mom's a lucky woman. :)

  6. 1) love it very much. it looks like sculpted cotton candy
    2) started it once and changed the pattern in the middle because i got too bored
    3) is the yarn semi-solid? I can't see very well.
