Adding to the stash

JulieSpins Merino Cashmere Nylon 2ply
i stumbled upon a JulieSpins etsy update last week and couldn't resist.

i bought a skein of the MCN 560, a 2ply yarn in Red Currant. the yarn is velvety soft and the colors are so rich. right now i'm thinking another lace shawl (i might be addicted).
5oz JulieSpins Superwash Merino
i also picked up 5oz of superwash merino in Jungle.

i've already spun the first third. i heart 3ply yarns now. i'm spinning it using a modified longdraw technique. it's not as easy with the combed top, but i'm hoping a little unevenness will balance out in the end.

  1. Wow, both of those (the yarn and the fiber) are gorgeous! Can't wait to see what your finished yarn looks like.

  3. Ooo, that yarn is gorgeous! I'm not a spinner, but fiber braids always looks so soft and fluffy. Every once in a while, I get the urge to buy one just for petting purposes.
