heading home

It just occurred to me today that I've been living in Western New York for over 10 years now. and yet I still refer to visiting Arkansas as "going home." I guess old habits die hard, as I feel much more at home here.

at any rate, i've been busy and have started a million projects. i'm also going home next week to visit family. tee hee. i hope to find some new yarn stores. i haven't been back there for five-ish years (i can't exactly recall the last time i was there) so i am fully prepared for things to be different. although i'm guessing it will still be overrun with walmarts.

If i'm not back in a week send out a search party.

  1. At least AR has the excuse that it is the birthplace of Wally's though right?

I haven't been "home" in nine years...so I get where you're coming from. I wouldn't recognize "home" now!!

  2. Have a great trip! I haven't lived "at home" since 1996, but I'll be buggered if I don't still refer to it as home. I guess it's just one of those things.

  3. I have been away from my home (Texas) for over 20 years now. I just cannot call Missouri my home. Have a great trip! I personally love AR. We are just about a hour away from it. It is just a gorgeous state! I especially love the Hot Springs area and northern AR.
