Please, may I offer you a skein?

Elann Sonata
My order from elann came. 20 skeins of Sonata mercerized cotton in assorted colors. i am using it to make a mitered squares blanket from Mason-Dixon Knitting. i kept looking at january one's miter madness and just couldn't help myself.
Elann Sonata
btw, this is only the first order. i bought a "sampler" of colors to get a feel for what i was doing. i will be making more purchases as needed.

i thought of some rules for my blocks, but i'm not sure they will make much sense unless you have something to look at, so i will wait to share. instead, here is the promised Cozy progress pic. i managed 13 inches--5 the first evening, 8 the second. so now i'm aiming for a more realistic goal of 6 inches per night and finishing in two weeks. the problem is that it's warming up here and soon enough, knitting a dense alpaca/angora shawl is going to be a nightmare. let's hope i finish before summer comes.

  5. Mmmm...Sonata eh? What weight is that? I'm looking for a good mercerized cotton (that's not too pricey) now that I'm not in Hobby Lobby country and can't get my hands on Sinfonia.

  6. The skeins look lovely in the bowl, no need to knit them. If they were set up like that at my house, I would just pet them all the time.

The cozy is definitely coming along. Even if the temperature starts to rise, think of how great it will be at work when the air conditioning is too much.

  7. That pink is just perfect for Cozy. I hope you can get it finished comfortably! Although with the bowl of cotton around, I'd probably forget all about the pretty pretty lace and start! something! new!

Sweet pink cozy. I hadn't knit in that color pink until I made my bed socks. I loved knitting that color pink.
