an almost forgotten skirt

Simplicity 4075 modified
i sewed this a couple of weekends ago, but just now got around to doing my laundry. it's simplicity 4075, khaki twill from the stash. i put in an elastic waist instead of using a zipper, didn't do the facings, and shortened it by 4 inches. it doesn't drape very well b/c the twill is a bit heavier than it probably should be, but oh well.

  1. Ooooh! The mittens!

I have that book too, and have yet to knit anything from it. Come to think of it, where is that book?

    (I like the skirt too).

  2. Very cute skirt! Do you have a preference with sewing machines? I've been looking into buying one sometime this year, but there are too many choices!
